REIMPOSITION OF TOURISM TAX ON FOREIGN TOURISTS

 

Effective from 1 January 2023, foreign tourists staying at registered accommodation premises in Malaysia are subject to pay a Tourism Tax of RM10 per room per night. The reimposition of Tourism Tax on foreign tourist is mandatory and regulated by the Ministry of Finance Malaysia and the Royal Malaysian Customs Department.

 

Under the Tourism Tax (Exemption) Order 2017, Malaysians and Permanent Residents with MyPR cards are exempted from paying the Tourism Tax.

Kuala Lumpur, 24 & 25 December 2022 – ANSA Hotel Kuala Lumpur made Christmas a lot more cheerful with Santa giving out candies and chocolates to everyone at ANSA Walk, a popular covered retail walkway connected to ANSA Hotel with a myriad of retail outlets from international brands to gastronomy.

 

Santa dropped by on Christmas Eve and Christmas day with hearty wishes and a sack full of candies and chocolates which he gave out to the public at ANSA Walk. Shoppers and kids greeted and took photos with Santa as he made sure to put a smile on everyone’s face during the meet & greet.

 

Following June’s popcorn giveaway, ANSA Hotel Kuala Lumpur is making good on its plans to create a livelier atmosphere on the walkway and introducing the hotel to everyone. Stay tuned for more events to come at ANSA Walk, Kuala Lumpur.
