REIMPOSITION OF TOURISM TAX ON FOREIGN TOURISTS
Effective from 1 January 2023, foreign tourists staying at registered accommodation premises in Malaysia are subject to pay a Tourism Tax of RM10 per room per night. The reimposition of Tourism Tax on foreign tourist is mandatory and regulated by the Ministry of Finance Malaysia and the Royal Malaysian Customs Department.
Under the Tourism Tax (Exemption) Order 2017, Malaysians and Permanent Residents with MyPR cards are exempted from paying the Tourism Tax.

Our personal favorite by far is Pavilion KL. Opened in 2007 and has been an instant hit since then. Pavilion offers many nice shops, and caters to the more general type of shopper. There are many luxurious shops, but also enough regular shops. Pavilion has a great food court but also many restaurants and coffee bars. Definitely the place to be visit for tourists.
